i beg to differ, fallout tactics BOS is so far the best fallout game i played. there is tactics involved in it. positioning your characters, which weapon kills what enemy. stances and stealth. it's still listed as one of my favorite games. and i've played a hell of a lot of games from every console. fallout BOS for the ps2 sucked though.
When using the word "tactics" in the title, one would assume that tactics are REQUIRED to complete the game.
But I ran through most of the game just shooting and running and shooting and running so that the enemy didn't have time to gather up around me and kill me.
So running to keep the enemies spread out, and shooting them as I go, how does this make this game a tactical game?
And even more importantly, what characteristics does this game have that make it a sequel to Fallout 1 and 2?
On the positions and stealth, I have to admit, I did not stop long enough to see how this game would be trying to use tactics where no tactics were needed, and as a game it might be ok if you make the game more difficult yourself by "stopping"
But I was after a sequel to fallout 2, and this was no sequel or fallout. Its just another game with a misleading title (both words in the title, its no fallout, and its no tactics)
