In Mothership Zeta (the 5th DLC) there is actually an alien rifle it is called The Disintegrator

new alien rifle called disintegrator going to be powerful oh yeah my avatar is black/red tesla armour

i agree with your idea about sci fi fallout that would be sick it would kick ass a lot!!! of alien blaster ammo apparently over 300 alien power cells found on the ship and much more

too bad you can't steal the alien ship and fly to the home planet or to the mothership.

Well if you want on the Mothership, just download the newest DLC or get the Game of the Year edition. Just read my post on Mothership Zeta: You are not allowed to view links.
