I have some BoS armor, but I can't wear it.  Says I need some sort of power suit ability.. where is that?

Haven't got the game yet (well, tonight I do, yay!)
But here's what the Vault Wiki comes up with:

Power Armor Training is a Fallout 3 perk. It is necessary in order to operate a suit of Power Armor.

So it seems to be a 'Perk'...
Quote
In the SPECIAL character system, Perks are beneficial bonuses the player character picks up from experience. The number of Ranks each Perk has determines how many times the perk can be taken... In Fallout 3, the Perk Rate is always 1 - that is, you can pick a new perk every level. Also, Traits, part of the character system in all previous games, were not included in Fallout 3, and some of them were turned into Perks.

Hope this helps!

Ya know.. I looked at the perks available and none say Power Armor Training.  DANG...

Well.. I guess I'll sell the armor for now.

Without spoilers....

I just got to Rivet City (doing quests for the supply lady in Megaton)

How much further do I have until I can don the armor?

When you progress into the story and get to the point where you are let into the BoS base; talk to they guy, he's in the courtyard, he will train you to wear it, and the perk is now available. this is a good time to stop the story line, and do your misc. quests. BTW, I found that the Tesla Armor (pick it up from the purifiying place right before this) is some of the best around. but not the helmet. Good Luck all.
