During a blog post today I asked gamers in the official Fallout 3 forums for there opinion on fallout 3 and if it was worth my time to pick up. I had a few visit my site and leave some comments. What suprised me is so far every comment has been negative. Maybe it was just because of where I asked for the input. Typically official forums are a breading ground for hate and malice. So with that in mind I would like to purpose to thsi community the same questions.

What makes Fallout 3 worth purchasing with so many great games coming out this season? Xbox or PC version? What has been your favorite moment while playing the game?

If you could take the time to answer these questions for me that would be fantastic as I am heavily considering picking up this game. BTW you do not need to register to post on my blog. Hope that some of you can visit me at:

This has been my first time with Fallout.  I did not play Oblivion or anything similar.  I love the game and here are some reasons why.  I enjoy the customization of creating and finding new weapons/armor.  I love the leveling up, and customizing my character.  Next, the world is huge.  I am 25 hours in and barely done any of the main quests.  I have been roaming the wasteland, and doing sidequests.  There is so much to do, I love just wandering around and having random encounters or finding new things that I would not have come across in the main quest.  Also, I love all the different options with dialogue and persuading people.  I also like that you are not just good or evil, you can make any decisions you want.  You can save a town or a child, but then kill other people you don't like or steal stuff from someone, but then be nice to their face.  I am enjoying it quite a bit.

that's my two cents

Fallout 3 takes the concepts created in the first 2 games and places you in the middle of the action.  The first 2 games you grew very attached to your character but there was a definite disconnect; when he died you were pissed because you had to back to your last save but it wasn't personal like it is in F3.

All the haters are the ones that blow through the game in a day and complain about lack of content.  This isn't WOW and you don't get everything out of the game by doing the main quest(s).  This game may have a short replay ability if they do not come out with more content at some time but for right now you can create numerous characters and finish the game in a number of ways.

This has re-defined the FPS/RPG world.

The most fun I have had since I played Oblivion. I agree with the previous comment about the game haters. The just don't play it for what goof things it has.  Wink
