I know I'm not the biggest fan of Bethesda making Fallout 3, but like I have said a few times, it looks like its gonna be an awesome game! (just not true to the series imo)

BUT nevertheless, what makes your trigger finger tickle in anticipation of the new Fallout?

Personally, what I'm looking forward to/curious about:

-Trying out the targetting system they are bragging so much about.

-Seeing if they actually manage to make an interesting story (I know the basic consept of the story, and to be honest: its not something that would move me, but it does make the basis for some decent roleplay. And I just hope its not so vague we have to "pretend" or be so forced that we can't get away from it)

-The AI! Can't wait to see if people actually have a life or just walk around some decided path. (I'm actually a LITTLE bit impressed of some aspects of the Oblivion characters. When walking around the wilderness you can come across hunters out looking for deer. I would love to see more of that kind of people)

And now, What really scares me:

- The level scaling - knowing that they just HAD to add that, I SOOOO hope they don't overdo it! It ruins the entire aspect of roleplaying! I wanna become the big ol' mean bastard that none of the baddies can hurt! I don't want all the bad guys being equal to me (another oblivion example: the stronger you get, the stronger badguys appear in the forrests.)

- Unkillable chars - I like to kill stuff m'kay? thank you!

-No kids? whats that all about? Some say that there will be kids, but unkillable, others say kids won't be there at all. I'm not a twisted sick individual with an urge to kills miniature humans, but kids are an important part of the world, and should be a VERY important part of rebuilding a world! if theres no1 to pass on the guns to, what are we fighting for?

I could go on forever, but thats 3+ and 3- for now Smiley

Anyone else got some insight?

Over 200 endings really has my head spinning. Over 100 hours of gameplay! I wonder if that means one time around or all combined? Seriously, I'm looking forward to all the old style gameplay and the enhanced graphics. ooooh and the 200 some odd endings!

Added: It just came to me - who wouldn't want to see the New Pip Boy! They spent a lot of time making that thing look good (at least I think so). All the artwork and the [picture] cliches.

Just got back from pittsburgh on business. Hope no one missed me o_O! Not to mention that my mobo fried at my workplace, so i was without a comp for a few days too Sad.

Pipboy, in my opinion, is a god among video games. that said, I'm eager to see what the rad-scorpions and rats look like (or just enemies in general). Will they bring back the aliens? What will they look like?

Of course i'm looking forward to the weapons that they will impliment. I mean who doesn't look at the list of weapons that are included in with the game (Pulse rifle vs. Turbo Plasma anyone?).

Last, but defiantly not least, what it looks like when you melt someone w/ either one of the above!

I know the level scaling won't be like oblivion. From what Emil says, he wants you to come back to a place where at first you couldn't hold your own. And then be able to kick some ass! It would have been a pathetic game if the enemies would had scale with you.
I just can't wait to see the intro of the game for some reason, i've been thinking about it constantly.
What will Bethesda show in the intro. Maybe a nice mushroom cloud. Smiley

The intro is now posted in multiple places across the internet. As for level scaling, it's still not the best way of going about it IMHO. A deathclaw is a deathclaw; period. Yes, it is better than Oblivion. Yes, they could have done a lot better.

Megaton seems like your classic Junktown from F1 or New Reno from F2: drugs, sex, and alcohol. I feel that if I blow up Megaton, I'll feel like the psycho cult killer from Johnny Mnemonic, doing the world a favor by purging the world of corrupt and impure figures (world religions I find fascinating, even though I'm atheist). Therefor, I can't wait to watch the magnificent glow of the nuclear explosion from Tenpenny Towers.

you evil, evil person!!!

why do you say that town is corrupt? it seems pretty honest to me... i won't me blowing that one up (at least not in my first playthrough). I'm gonna accept his mission and do all, and then when it comes to push da red button in that tower... I'm goan totally shoot those assholes in da face, or perhaps plant some grenades in their pants, I'm not sure which... if i do that and the game "thinks" I went through with that mission and the sheriff never gives me my home in the town... I'm gonna be real pissed off. I wont nuke the town out, but I'm certainly goan hit that bastard in the back of the head with a baseball bat...

Haha, and watch his ass fly off the balcony, awesome.

Something else I can't wait to see is the outside areas around DC. Will Bethesda's studio be in the game being that they are located right outside of DC? Could probably get a Fatman there...

Also, how about the White House, or the CIA Headquarters in Langley? (CMON Bethesda! let me have a lil more taste than just the regular interviews about VATS or how you can make your own decisions...I'VE HEARD IT!!!)

Yeah!! visiting those landmarks is pretty high on my list... but more than that I want to meet the BOS!! also learn WTF the enclave is up to!! when I learned the enclave was back I went nuts, it never even crossed my mind that Bethesda would bring them back. I'm looking forward speaking with the new president. Oh and visit other vaults!

The Vaults would defiantly be interesting places to visit. Vault 15 from F1 w/ the collapse and rats would have been so cool to see from a first person perspective. Imagine fighting the master from a first person perspective...that would be awesome (someone make a mod!!).
