hi I'm chris and I'm new to the forum. I know there's been tons of threads on this already but nothing recently, so what is your style of play and where will you next be loading up? I started off neutral, gave people who deserved respect, respect and took care of the people who saw me as dirt! Recently I've been low on caps and ammo and have decided to turn to stealing for a quick fix and quick kills. This has resulted in a bounty order for my head and I've had enough so I'm going to over power this wasteland with all my force. I found dogmeat and saved up enough cash for Jericho and we have began cleaning the place town by town. This has resulted in over 3000 chips on one sessions play! So you guessed it...I'm a wasteland pirate!

My first playthrough I was a wasteland pirate as well but that got way too easy IMO as I could simply kill anyone I wanted to and loot all their stuff. Second playthrough I'm attempting to be the last best hope of humanity (which I am a couple exp away from, yippee!) and it's going well since I've managed to stay very good.

Since the beginning of the game, I tried to get good karma at all times. Rarely would I try to get bad karma. I ended up getting Paladin Star Cross and Fawkes to aid me on my journeys. Since these NPCs seem to have a death wish and rush any enemies on sight, it's hard to sneak. Therefore, I'm a run and gun type of guy. My three main skills are medicine, repair, and small guns. Lincoln's Repeater is my favorite weapon because it can blow a super mutant's head off with one shot. Too bad there's limited amounts of .44 magnum bullets, the bullets it uses.

I am on my first play through, and I just hit "The Last Best Hope" achievement while finishing The Waters of Life, so I obviously love to explore. I went with a high strength, high Int, Low Luck, Low Charisma build focusing on Small Guns & Sneak. At level 20 I have maxed Small Guns, Lockpicking, Speech, Science & Sneak. I use Lincoln Repeater for VATS Sniping, Victory Rifle for long range manual sniping, Xuanlong for general purpose fighting, and Sydney's 10mm "Ultra" SMG for feral ghouls and other petty stuff. Charon is my bestest friend, and I find that he is quite durable with a nice set of Brotherhood Power Armor since he doesn't ruch into melee all the time.
On a side note, I also have 75 points in Explosives. I find a few VATS targetted grenades work wonders against those damn Giant Radscorpions. I know it is wasteful, but considering the hate I have for those things, it is SO Satisfying to blow them to pieces when they try to charge in on me.

Hi Guys, New to this forum, but not to the game, I´ve been playing it over and over since the first one was released, can´t beat the atmosphere in the game, I´ve never encountered anything that gives me the same satisfaction...  Right now I´m playing it by ear, just taking in the scenery, and enjoying the huge possibilities for exploring areas, when I´m through the whole thing, I will start over, taking it a bit more seriously, especially the character development and approach to the tasks... My type of game play is first ima go look for the nearest town and get a place to live and get friendly with the people there then 2nd i would go serching and looking for stuff to sell and a new place etc and if it's possible ill join STEEL
so this kinda make me a merchant/soldier/wander

Same here, playing as good. African Female, the perfect Black Widow against the clueless villains of the wasteland. Sometimes she lures them in by appearing wearing just what's seen in my signature, then quickly enabling Tesla Armor and Flamer for the good fight. |

I slaughter everyone, steal everything, have six grande in caps from that, my main skills that I maxed out are repair, lock pick, big, small and energy guns.

i'm good but still steal stuff, I was going to help the ghols in that tenpenny quest but he caught me stealing something so I shot him in the face with my hunting rifle, got bad karma for that and yeh this is one of the best games I have ever played!! |

The DE is in San Andreas but not Fallout 3. The Blackhawk is a scoped .44 magnum but it was Agatha's husband's side arm. All the rare versions of weapons in Fallout 3 are better than the standard ones. There is a thread on the rare weapons. Blackhawk, Kneecapper, AR21 Plasma, etc, etc. Back to the topic, I was surprised that by playing a good character, you don't recieve bad kharma for stealing Elder Lyon's rare laser pistol, the "Smuggler's Edge". |
