It seems that the Fallout 3 community isn't waiting for a construction set to make some mods.
There aren't a lot of them around yet, but the database of mods starts growing. Some of the mods and tools are useful, others are just nice and even others won't appeal to a lot of people. The fact is: here they are, the first Fallout mods, and we should all welcome them with open arms

Since a lot of people don't know where to look or find the info on mods they would like, I've compiled a small list of forums, tools and other interresting stuff mod-related.
If you can add to the list, feel free to share and I'll update this post.

LoginFallout 3 Nexus
- Your first stop for mods, almost all mods will be hosted there!
"Fallout 3 Nexus is a site that runs in parallel to TESNexus in objectives, technology and design with one obvious difference; Fallout 3 Nexus is for, you guessed it, Fallout 3. As with TESNexus, the goal of FO3Nexus is not to compete and step on the toes of the excellent fan-run content-driven sites already within the community. Instead the Nexus sites have always been designed to be community driven sites that help to promote the sharing of files (namely modifications), resources, images, information and the idea of a community. In essence, I provide the tools to help users share their work with other members of the community as efficiently and simply as possible."

LoginDDS Converter 2
by Yannick Bluehair Leon
"This program converts between common image files and DXT-compressed textures. Since nVidia's tool is used to achieve this goal, this program mostly acts as a front-end to this tool."
mods:I won't be posting a list of all mods that are going to be made (if someone feels like taking up this task, please do

), But here are some of the first mods that, in my eyes are worth wile atm:

Login[WIP] DarNified UI F3, Smaller, more, PC
by DarN
"If you're unfamiliar with DUI for Oblivion, the goal is to make the UI look more at home on the PC. This means smaller fonts, more visible items in the lists, and scaling of some elements. Though improved, the F3 ui is a little too big for my taste, hence DUI F3."
