I hate levelcaps! Can someone please make a mod, that uncaps this game. I want to get my character over 20.

To do it on the PC, while playing press the tilde key (the one to the left of '1') and type "setgs iMaxCharacterLevel 40" without the quotes, replacing 40 with whatever you want the new levelcap to be.

after level 12 any character is pretty kick arse why be any tougher??
Just make level 10 to 20 need loads more xp so you have more time to roam and explore.
you don't wanna walk into a room full of mutant masters and blow the away like their nothing!
That's just no fun!

That's right this one doesn't work. Just hit lvl 20 and no more XP for kills. Kind of sad really as there were a couple more PREKS I would have liked to use. Primarily the explorer perk.

Also check on getting the best possible companions and armour. I know it's not the same as levelups, but it does add to your strength. Especially companions always seem to be more perceptive than myself. Only drawback is that keep steeling my kills! Fawkes and his laser gatling cannon.. but then again won't matter once you reach the 20.

In actuality, the level max cheat, setgs iMaxCharacterLevel, makes it so that you can set your maximum level to any number below 1000. I started by doing that.. then realized that at a certain point that I had to use the player.setav <skill> # cheat in order to reduce a skill score so that I could continue on and not get stuck with too many skill points and nowhere to put them. I usually set my max levels to 100 and then use the advlevel cheat to gain levels and perks rapidly. Once I had all the perks that I wanted, I capped my level down to whatever level I was on, brought any lacking skills and stats to full and then started wreaking havoc.
Have fun!

Good Point, and i agree, but the only thing i hate is how you dont get exp for a kill. True its no fun and useless to just blow away mutants when you walk into a room, but its just as useless to kill them all and gain nothing.

Pretty soon there will be a new DLC entitled Broken Steel that will come out (third one so far). This DLC will raise the level cap to 30 instead of 20. So, not completely uncapped, but lets you get more perks in there...

i just got an account and actualy the level caps 30 if you get broken steel.the pitt(basiclly a cut off of pittsburgh pennsylvania),mothership zeta(another act of trying to bring people that should've died 25-50 years ago ),point lookout(now its hillbilly hell when the nuclear homicide came),and broken steel(now its story time cause now its time to kill the last of autumm's men).now that i have finished that i beat the game and i'm still playin.i know that you cant mod the cap level because i went to my friends house(he's a modder)he tried to mod the cap level and got 4 red spinning rings.First he had 1 corner. Then he lightly punched it and it got the 2nd corner. After that he did it again but without punching it and he got the 3rd corner. Then he did the same thing and he got the red ring but the other friend who got it spinning ring had put paper clips in the fans and pulled them out and he turned it on and it said that the ring was spinning.i had to leave after getting it to my technichal uncle who has a kit for the ring and he couldn't fix the fan so my friend had to get a new one.luckily he got his hard drive back.well im done now so hope someone will like the little article i wrote.bye.

Nice story there. What you're talking about is the Red Rings of Death on the Xbox 360, correct? It's caused by overheating of the system, but some say that it can be caused by virus'. I've never actually had it, so I wouldn't really know. What I'd suggest doing to anyone that gets the first corner is to immediately shut of the Xbox, don't even take the time to save. I really don't care if you started at level 4, played for 3 days straight without using auto save or saving, and are about to get level 30. It's easier just to start over instead of going through the trouble to get your Xbox fixed.
